On the left of the picture you can see the reinforcement being laid prior to pouring the next part of the inflow slab.

The large plastic pipes will allow water to be diverted along the old millrace

Plastic piles and a concrete wall are being installed to stop water percolating through the soil of the island between the river and the channel that will feed the hydro.

Hi, Steve here - that's me in the top picture!. Have just returned from a visit to the site. Work to date has concentrated on excavating the millrace immediately after the incoming sluice gate - see 2nd picture. It's wet work!
